What is this about?

A lot of fellow photographers have done their own versions of "the 365". The point is to pick a topic and take one photo everyday on that topic. I have chosen a "Family 365" for a few reasons. Taking pictures so often for other people leaves me with little desire to take nice quality photos of my own family. My lack of desire in that area has gotten me into trouble more often than I want to admit! So this 365 is not only for you to enjoy and keep up with what we have going on, but more importantly for my husband, my children, and myself. I need to have a daily reminder that it isnt just in busines that
life happens remember it.
Welcome to Zimmerman Family 365!

Day 54

The Hot Wheels Mystery Car!

I have had a few people ask about this when they have been here, and realized I am pretty sure i never actually told the story.

This was my family's gift from my brothers family. I know you are thinking. Oh, wow, one 1.99 car to share between 5 people. :):) But this car has been one of the coolest and creative gifts we have ever gotten.

Here is how it works. This is the mystery car, you have no idea what kind of car is in it. So, pretty exciting to open. So when we all get home each day and we are eating dinner, talking, hanging out watching tv, wii, etc. We all have a chance to try and open the car. By getting to open the car, the whole family has to agree that you have had the worst day and deserve the special surprise of unveiling the mystery car. Plead your case. Talk it out.
I hope that car stays there forever. I want it to just be caked with dust (not hard at our house) Not to say we dont have bad days, but when you talk about them everyday and try to rate the "badness" we have all realized a few things.
1. We really don't have it very bad.
2. Someone is always worse off
3. It is cool to talk about the crappy stuff that happens (thats what family is here for)

So.. i challenge everyone that reads this to find your family's "mystery car". It will be one of the coolest things. I promise!
Thanks for the super awesome gift Adam and family!

OK Adam...how do I get a mystery car...other than the Kia I am driving, which has been a mystery to me. But when I get one, at the end of the day I can talk with the voices talking in my head.... yuppers, that will work
